Bike and Riding Gear

  • Your dirt bike must be road registered with fitted number plate and Rego label
  • Your dirt bike must be in a road worthy condition
  • New or near new tyres
  • Riding Gear – helmet, goggles, riding boots, socks, gloves, knee guards, elbow guards, kidney belt, body armour, riding jacket (in cold weather)
  • Spare riding gear – dry gloves, spare goggles
  • Camelback

Tools:

  • Spare tube, levers, chain lube
  • Filter skins and / or air filters
  • Plug spanner and spare spark plug
  • Spanner for front and rear wheel removal
  • Spanner to adjust chain and check fittings, Allen keys
  • Tools for fixing flats ie.valve remover, tyre levers etc.,
  • CO2 bottles or a pump.
  • Two-stroke riders – own mix oil and spare oil for on trail (100ml)
TIP: If you are riding a bike similar to your mates then share the tools.

Please Check:

  • Brakes, brake pads, fluid (preferably new pads or bring spares). In wet weather please bring spare brake pads.
  • Chain, sprockets, sprocket bolts, master link
  • Front and back wheel bearings and steering head
  • All cables in good working condition
  • Full tank of fuel
  • Make sure that you go over your bike completely and that your bike is ready when you get to the start of the ride!
  • Do not bring a noisy bike! Noise is a big issue, so no bikes with open exhausts, if it won't pass the noise test at a race don't bring it trail riding.

The night before the tour:

  • On all 2 day and multi-day tours you are welcome
    to stay in the Rider Bunkhouse which has 16 comfy beds,
    tea & coffee, 2 showers, 2 toilets, and a wood fire.
  • Please bring a sleeping bag and towel.
  • Meet after 4pm.
  • Dinner is at the local pub (own cost).
  • Breakfast provided.

Overnight Clothes:

  • small bag for clothes to wear at the accommodation outlet
    (as we are unable to carry multiple large riding gear bags).
